The Angel of the North

I took a load of photos of the new sculptures and buildings springing up all over Tyneside while on a business trip to Newcastle upon Tyne recently. This impressive statue is now an icon of the northeast. It is The Angel of the North by Antony Gormley. What you can't tell from this still photo is how windy the day was. Those clouds were flying across the sky.

Sky Mirror

This is an installation called Sky Mirror by Anish kapoor at Nottingham Playhouse. It's a fun piece because it is constantly changing with the weather, time of day and the activity in the square between the mirror and the theatre.

Churchill

This is Churchill, our next door neighbours' dog, peering over the hedge. Good dog! Who's a good dog then?
